How much does delivery cost?

Depending on your order and location, they may charge a shipping fee to help couriers get the box right to your door. This fee will be clearly displayed during your checkout process.

Is there a minimum length for a subscription?

• Nope! There's no minimum term for any of their subscriptions.

• Just make sure to make any changes to your account before the deadline, 11:59PM PST four (4) days before your delivery.

Do they provide nutritional and calorie information?

Currently, they can only accurately provide the approximate calorie information on the website. More detailed nutritional information is included on your meal kit package.

How does pricing work?

Chefs Plate is a subscription service that delivers chef-designed recipes and fresh ingredients each week. There is no subscription or membership fee to join. Their recipes range from $8.99-9.99 per serving and they also offer premium offerings and add-ons at an additional cost.

What are the premium surcharges on some recipes?

You may notice that there are additional surcharges on some of their recipes. This helps them ensure they can provide pre-made sauces and pre-chopped produce for their 15-minute meals, and also more unique ingredients for thir premium recipes! This is a separate charge on top of your overall box. If you do not select these recipes, you will not receive any surcharge.

Can I send back or recycle the packaging?

• You’ve enjoyed your meal kit and made some tasty dishes, but now you’re wondering what to do with the packaging. Don’t worry — they’ve got you covered with this quick guide on how to properly dispose of all your meal kit packaging!

• They boxes are 100% recyclable so they recommend putting all cardboard and paper items out with your household recycling.

• Their kit bags and cool-pouches are made from compostable materials. Just remember to remove the sticker from the bag and remove the zipper from the pouch before placing them into your green bin.

• Composting varies across Canada, so they recommend checking with your municipality for any city-specific regulations.

I live in a condo building with no concierge, how can I get Chefs Plate delivered to me?

• In this case, there are a few things that you can do! You can either have a buzzer code left in your special delivery instructions so that the driver can leave the box in your lobby or at your door. 

• Alternatively, you can ask a neighbour to accept the delivery, or even have your box sent to your office instead of your home. Hopefully one of these solutions will work!

How long do the ingredients stay fresh inside the box?

All of their boxes contain an insulated liner and ice packs to keep your food fresh until you get home the night of delivery! Just pop your kits in the fridge as soon as you can.

What is a flexible subscription service?

• With a Chefs Plate's flexible subscription, you will receive a box of fresh ingredients and delicious recipes every week. 

• If you wish to skip a week of your subscription, you have until 11:59pm PST four (4) days before your next delivery to update your delivery schedule in your Chefs Plate account.
