How long does it take for the results to come out?
Once your kit reaches their lab, it will take about 3-4 weeks for the results to be ready. They will notify you by email when they are available and you can access the results online on the MyHeritage website.
Can I send the kit to someone else?
When placing an order online, you can send the kit to yourself, or provide the recipient's shipping address and they will ship the DNA kit directly to them. Once they receive the DNA kit you purchased for them, if they don't already have a free MyHeritage account, they will be asked to open a free MyHeritage account and activate their new kit. From the moment they activate their kit, they'll send them relevant emails about the samples that tracked them, and of course, the results themselves, once they're ready.
What is their subscription plan like?
The basic plan is free and gives you family trees for up to 250 people. Four annual subscription plans provide access to additional features and content. Uncover your ethnic origin and find new relatives for just $49, not including shipping.
What do I need to pass?
MyHeritage DNA test kits are simple to use and do not involve blood or saliva. To collect your sample, you simply shave the inside of your cheek with a small cotton swab for about 45 seconds, then repeat with the second cotton swab. You put the swab in a vial and mail it to their DNA lab for analysis. You can view your results securely online on the MyHeritage website.
